MARZAL JAUME PIPES, born in Moncofa, Valencia (Spain) on February 22, 1946. Combines work with drawing and painting studies at the School of Arts and Crafts \"Llotja\" of Barcelona. By 1967 and for a time, directed the art department of an advertising agency and Graphic Arts Barcelona. For 20 years or so, working with publishers from various countries: England, USA, Italy, France (Ed Larousse). Its activities cover various fields of artistic creation: posters, design, advertising, book covers and illustration (comics history). Also collaborates in the creation of videos for various museums in Catalonia: History Museum of the City (Barcelona), Museu d\'Empuries (Gerona), Museum of Serinyà (Gerona). In early 1991, initiated a series of trips by various Arab countries: Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Somalia, Djibouti, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria, made a decisive influence on his understanding of light and color, as happened in the nineteenth century with artists such as Fortuny, Delacroix, Matisse, Klee, Majorelle or Bertuchi ... At this time, his creative activity focuses exclusively on painting, making numerous presentations * in various cities in Spain and in other countries: Belgium, Tunisia, Morocco, Syria, Italy and Czech Republic ... Between 2005 to 2007 also visit the Baltic and Nordic countries, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Turkey and the Balkans, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Slovenia, Croatia, looking and knowing new cultures and environments ... He has sponsored an exhibition Damascus by Instituto Cervantes and the Spanish Embassy in the Gallery at Shaab, during the month of May 2009 made by who has been living and working for eight months in the Syrian capital. Currently out in the Instituto Cervantes in Palermo (Italy). Resides in Barcelona, but spent long periods in Prague.
